Actress Yara Shahidi has been unveiled as the latest muse behind Jean Paul Gaultier’s newest fragrance, Gaultier Divine.

Launched in 2023, Gaultier Divine is a tribute to womanhood, echoing Shahidi’s advocacy for equality, Gen Z voting, and women’s rights.

The fragrance campaign showcases Shahidi adorned in gold, symbolizing radiance and femininity, alongside a diverse cast of models chosen by Gaultier.

In the campaign visuals, Shahidi is depicted in a golden setting, holding a glass bottle of the fragrance adorned with a ship motif, reflecting a sense of adventure and empowerment.

Her attire, reminiscent of the fragrance bottle’s corset design, celebrates feminine liberation and embraces the diversity of female forms.

Gaultier describes the fragrance as a harmonious blend of floral and gourmand notes with a hint of saltiness and an airy meringue texture.

As part of the campaign, Shahidi shared her message of hope for women, emphasizing the importance of community support.

Reflecting on her journey, she credited her accomplishments to her support network and highlighted the role of love in fueling her activism and achievements.

Joining Shahidi in the campaign is South African model and prosecutor Thando Hopa, who celebrates her diverse identities as a woman of African descent with albinism.

The Gaultier Divine campaign aims to inspire women to embrace their individuality and collective strength, fostering a sense of empowerment and solidarity among diverse communities. Throughout September, Gaultier has been sharing campaign visuals on Instagram, featuring Shahidi and other influential muses.
