Haley Taylor Schlitz, who captured national attention in 2019 for her remarkable academic achievements, has now reached another milestone in her journey.

At the age of 21, she has been sworn in as an attorney by the Minnesota State Bar Association, marking a significant achievement in her already impressive career.

Taylor Schlitz first made headlines in 2019 when she garnered acceptance into nine different law schools at the tender age of 16.

Her exceptional journey continued as she graduated from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in May 2022, making her the youngest Black student to achieve this milestone at the Dallas law school.

Now officially a licensed attorney, Taylor Schlitz shared her excitement with “Good Morning America,” expressing her commitment to serving her community and inspiring the next generation.

Alongside her legal pursuits, she has also taken on the role of a teacher, imparting knowledge to fifth graders at IDEA Edgecliff in Fort Worth, Texas, where she teaches U.S. History.

Reflecting on her multifaceted career, Taylor Schlitz emphasized the importance of giving back and empowering young people to make a positive impact through civic engagement.

She founded the Trailblazers Forum: Youth Civic Engagement program, aimed at fostering civic education and action among students aged 12 to 16 in the Dallas and Fort Worth area.

Despite her accomplishments, Taylor Schlitz remains focused on her passion for the law, with plans to pursue additional bar licenses.

Her dedication and drive have earned her praise from her peers and mentors, who have hailed her as a trailblazer destined for great success.

Looking back on her journey, Taylor Schlitz credits her family for their unwavering support and guidance. She acknowledges her mother, an ER doctor, as her greatest motivator and role model, whose influence has shaped her aspirations and values.
