Beyoncé’s #BeyGOOD foundation is making a significant impact in her hometown of Houston with a generous $100,000 donation aimed at enhancing criminal justice efforts.
The donation will go toward supporting the University of Houston Law Center’s Criminal Justice Clinic, helping to establish a full-time clinic and bolster its existing programs.
Leonard Baynes, the dean of the UH Law Center, stressed the importance of the donation, stating:
“At UH Law, we envision a legal profession where ‘everyone has the opportunity to prosper,’ as BeyGOOD envisions, and we will achieve this vision by providing access to strong and effective legal representation in criminal proceedings. Together, through this gift, the BeyGOOD Foundation and UHLC will shepherd the next generation of criminal justice attorneys in the city of Houston, the state of Texas, and the nation.”
The $100,000 donation comes just ahead of Beyoncé’s highly anticipated performance in Houston during the Texas vs. Baltimore Ravens game at NRG Stadium on Christmas Day, further cementing her ongoing commitment to giving back to her community.
