Cardi B x Steve Madden to Collaborate on a Shoe Collection | @iamcardib @SteveMadden

2017 is been a prosperous year for Cardi B! The regular-degular-shmegular girl from the Bronx not only scored big with her No.1 hit single “Bodak Yellow,” she’s also landed her first fashion collaboration with the famous Steve Madden. Just in time for the holidays, the rising hip-hop artist created her favorite shoe styles in a strategic way.

“All of this came about because I keep bringing up to my manager, I want to work with brands that are affordable and chic but good quality,” she explained to Teen Vogue“I don’t want to work with a brand that is like, ‘Yeah they make shoes,’ or ‘Yeah, they make clothes,’ but it’s like…cheap, not good to wear. I’ve always been a fan of Steven Madden. We have a mutual friend, and BAM! We connected.”

Cardi like most loves the shoe brand and she’s expressed her excitement for the collaboration in a statement “I’m so excited to be collaborating with one of my all-time favorite shoe designers! As a little girl I would die for a pair of Steve Madden shoes, now I’m working with him! It’s really a dream come true.”

The shoe line titled Curated by Cardi is now available with shoes ranging from $36-$236 with a wide range of shoes. Out of her entire collection, the former Love & Hip Hop star recommends the boots, “I love the boots that have a platform so they look like the ’60s style that I’m so in love with,” Cardi shared. “[Steve Madden] has a lot of white boots I love. Then there’s this pump that is baby pink, and it’s so cute. I’m loving his thigh-highs. They actually fit my leg and go up and they stay there, you know?”
