Renowned celebrity therapist and life coach Dr. Cheyenne Bryant has issued a powerful call to action for Black people to foster “Black privilege” within their own communities.

During an episode of the Truth Talks podcast, Dr. Bryant shared a moving anecdote that underscored the importance of creating opportunities and uplifting one another.

The Teen Mom Family Reunion co-producer and award-winning author recounted an interaction on a flight where she gave up her first-class seat to a young Black girl, ensuring the child experienced a moment of privilege.

“We have to create our own Black privilege,” she urged. “White people only have white privilege because they privilege their people. We have to start seeing our Black people and privilege them.”

Dr. Bryant explained that these actions don’t require wealth but a willingness to uplift others, whether through acts of kindness, mentorship, or creating opportunities.

“Figure out once a day what Black person you can privilege. I don’t care if it’s your neighbor or a family member—please do that,” she said.

Dr. Bryant’s influential career spans psychology, coaching, and media. She has been featured in Forbes, Oprah Daily, SUCCESS Magazine, and other major outlets.

Her message to create Black privilege resonates deeply as she continues to inspire personal and community growth.
