China Anne McClain and Nafessa Williams talk their new CW show, Black Lightning.
During their interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the pair reveal about why they think fans love Black Lightning and what drew them to working on the show.
According to Deadline, Black Lightning centers on Jefferson Pierce (played by Cress Williams). A former superhero, he chose to hang up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter, Jennifer, hellbent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’s pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning.
Black Lightning is based from DC and has been brought to CW courtesy of Berlanti Productions and Akil Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Greg Berlanti and Salim Akil executive produce the show.
