Erykah Badu is making sure that all of her loyal fans are in good spirits, and the singer recently announced that she would be offering a series of online concerts via livestream.

“Peace and love, the show must go on,” Badu says in a video shared to Instagram. “Introducing the quarantine concert series live from my bedroom. We’ll be performing right here live this weekend. $1 to get in.”

She continued, “We gotta’ keep moving ya’ll. We gotta keep this thing going. We’re a community of artists [whose] survival depends on performing, creating, laughing, living, and loving.”

Badu has been revered as one of the most influential artists of all time. Recently she released a line of incense which she claimed were of the scent of her vagina. Fans flooded the website as soon as the items were available online, and the entire stock sold out in 19 minutes.

But the star is not oblivious to her power.

“I can see the evidence of that when I listen to music or hear young artists talk and they’re not shy at all about telling me thank you for the things I’ve contributed to them,” she told the Guardian back in May 2018.

So far, there have been over 9,400 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the country, with 150 deaths reported. Globally, the number of confirmed cases has jumped to more than 220,000, with over 9,000 reported deaths.

Please be aware that a vast number of those who test positive for the virus have experienced very mild symptoms, if any, at all.
