Eve recently announced her pregnancy to the world.
However, the rapper says that she was stressed out during her Verzuz battle with Trina because she’d only just learned she was expecting.
“I was supposed to fly to Miami, and at the last minute, I didn’t. I had to tell Swizz, and he was like, ‘all good, sis, we got you, of course.’ My brother, I love him so much. So I was stressed out, and I was like am I standing too much. I kept thinkin’ ’bout the baby,” she told “The Breakfast Club.”
“I was like ‘am I standing too much? Am I screaming too much? Can you rap when you pregnant?’ I was so stressed out,” she joked.
Last year, Eve, who suffers from fibroids, revealed her struggle to conceive.
According to the University of Michigan Health, nearly a quarter of Black women between 18 and 30 have fibroids compared to about 6% of white women. By age 35, that number increases to 60%. Black women are also two to three times more likely to have recurring fibroids or suffer from complications.
“For me, I’m 42 now. My husband and I, we’ve been trying and trying and trying and trying. We’ve been doing certain things and for me, I understand where Emma was coming from with the endometriosis because at the beginning of the year, you ladies know…I had a procedure called a myomectomy that gets rid of fibroids,” she said on “The Talk.”
“I used to have these horrible periods. And I’m only saying this to say, there’s a lot of women out there that think, we were told that periods are supposed to be painful. They’re not. Go to your doctor, and if they don’t believe you, go to another doctor.”
Eve is already stepmom to four from her marriage to the British entrepreneur, Maximillion Cooper.
