Conjoined twins Carmen and Lupita Andrade have taken to TikTok to address frequently asked questions about their unique lives with honesty and humor.

In a video posted on their joint TikTok account, the 23-year-old sisters who moved from Mexico to the U.S. and now live in Connecticut, respond to common inquiries they receive about their conjoined condition.

Carmen begins by explaining how they have two separate brains, allowing them to experience different states of wakefulness and sleep.

She also addresses the topic of death, explaining that while they share a bloodstream, any potential health complications would affect both of them, but they are not dead, so why ask such morbid questions?

The twins also tackle more complex issues, such as legal matters. Carmen humorously dismisses questions about criminal behavior, stating that they have never been through such a process and thus lack knowledge in that area.

They also address more personal matters, including their reproductive system, experiences with endometriosis, and even dating. Carmen reveals that her boyfriend, Daniel, is only dating her, highlighting that they have their own individual identities and preferences.

Their openness about their lives extends beyond social media, as Carmen previously shared her experience of meeting Daniel on a dating app and navigating the challenges of dating as a conjoined twin.

The twins’ story resonates with others in similar situations, such as Abby and Brittany Hensel, who are also conjoined twins and recently tied the knot with Josh Bowling. Like Carmen and Lupita, Abby and Brittany share a bloodstream and all organs below the waist.

Despite the unique challenges they face, Carmen and Lupita maintain a strong bond and a sense of humor about their condition.
