Mariah Carey learned that Even diva royalty isn’t immune to a little teenage embarrassment the hard way, courtesy of her 13-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
Over the Easter weekend, Mariah gave her 14.1 million Instagram followers a peek into her festive celebrations, complete with adorable photos of the twins during an Easter egg hunt. Cute, right? Not if you ask the kids.
“Why do you do this to me, Mom ,” Moroccan commented, clearly blindsided by the public post. Monroe wasn’t holding back either, adding a blunt, “OMG DELETE IT.”
And honestly, the comments section exploded. Fans were in stitches, calling the moment peak teenager behavior, and let’s be real, it is. Who hasn’t felt secondhand embarrassment from a parent who posts just a little too much? Now imagine that parent being one of the most famous pop icons of all time.
This isn’t even the first time the twins have hilariously begged for space. Earlier this month, Mariah casually walked into Moroccan’s Twitch stream mid-game, and it turned into instant chaos. His reaction was a classic “mortified,” even though his mom was unbothered and fabulous.
“Hi, you guys! I love you too,” she said to his stunned chat.
To his credit, Rocky handled it with teenage grace, telling his mom and sister, “Love you. Get out of my room!” And yes, that moment went viral, too.
Despite the digital drama, Mariah and her ex-husband, Nick Cannon, have always been transparent about how close they are with their kids. In fact, Monroe and Moroccan have even joined their mom on stage during her Christmas tour, and according to the superstar, they might have the performance bug.

“I think they’re both very talented and smart and if they want to pursue a life as an entertainer, then I think they should,” she said. “It’s a hard kind of life, but they seem to really love performing, so I’m happy for them.”
Embarrassing Instagram posts and Twitch crashes aside, it looks like the Carey-Cannon twins are growing up in a household full of love, laughter… and just the right amount of diva energy.
