On “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Garcelle Beauvais has been determined to get to the bottom of Erika Jayne’s legal drama.
Erika and her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, 82, are accused of embezzling funds from several families who lost loved ones in a 2018 Boeing plane crash. Soon after, Tom was later sued by his business partners and was forced to file for a chapter 7 bankruptcy petition.
“I believe she didn’t know all of it. Is there something she could have known? Maybe. But every marriage has a different dynamic,” she says to Access Hollywood. “I felt I was really in the know [but] I was not in the know about everything in my marriage. When you’re dealing with a guy that’s that high-powered, I don’t think he told her everything,” Garcelle adds.
The couple has been accused of stealing millions from orphans and widows. This season, Erika has been very open about the scandal… mainly due to an inquisitive Garcelle.
Viewers doubt Erika’s innocence, but Garcelle is giving her the benefit of the doubt. She explained why she had so many questions for her castmate.
“Everything was developing as we shot. I mean, literally, every day we’d wake up and there’d be something the producers either texted us or we’re reading online or we’re hearing in the news,” she explains.
On Last week’s episode, Erika accused Garcelle of “betraying” her friendship when she revealed Erika had been receiving calls from Tom.
“Erika shared, if you don’t mind me sharing, that Tom calls her,” Garcelle in front of all of the ladies.
“Well, I do mind you saying that because I feel like you’re betraying my friendship right now. But please, have your moment,” Erika snapped. “So let me tell the f–king story,” she fired off. “Tom calls me all the time. I won’t take his call,” she said before turning to Erika and saying, “You got it out of me once, and now you want to do it again.”
