During Thursday night’s episode of “Growing Up Hip Hop,” Egypt Criss confronts her aunt Tee Tee Francis, accusing her of ruining her reputation.
Egypt and Tee Tee Francis sit down with Pepa and Maureen, Pepa’s sister.
“You sabotaged my reputation and you brought me down,” Egypt tells Tee Tee. “You ruined my reputation.”
When asked how she managed to ruin her niece’s rep and what her reputation was, Egypt replies:
“I am a princess right now, but I am going to be a queen one day. I have a legacy to live. I’m sorry if you don’t understand what I’m talking about. I am a queen. I got blessed to be in this woman’s womb [looks at Pepa]. Hip hop… I am it. This is my legacy. This is my place. You tried to take my place.”
Maureen lets Egypt know that Tee Tee couldn’t really be blamed for ruining her reputation. “You have to take control of your reputation,” Maureen says.
Viewers are hoping that Egypt’s claims of her ruined rep will not cause her to follow in the footsteps as Master P and Romeo Miller and exit the show.
Earlier this year, Master P posted a video on Instagram explaining why he and Romeo quit.
“I’m only showing you this so next time you’re watching this show you can use your real judgment and see how they flip people’s words and change positive moments into negative. This is the reason we quit 6 months ago,” he said, adding that producers had tried to create romance between Romeo and Angela Simmons.
He is also seen on video arguing with a WeTV producer.
Why do you want to see them fall in love? There’s no love there,” he said, adding: “She lost her husband, or her boyfriend, or baby daddy. She lost him. He got murdered. She doesn’t need another relationship right now.”
