The Los Angeles Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Jaiyana Evans, who has been missing since the morning of Thursday, May 1, 2025.
Jaiyana, an African American student at Simon Tech School, was last seen at approximately 7:15 a.m., leaving her family’s home in the 2200 block of East 115th Street to walk to school. She never arrived and hasn’t been heard from since.
Physical Description & Last Known Clothing

- Height: 5 ft 0 in
- Weight: 110 lbs
- Eyes: Brown
- Hair: Brown
- Last seen wearing: Black pants, black Simon Tech School sweatshirt, black shoes
- Carrying: A black “Casper the Ghost” backpack, a white purse, and a pink drinking cup
“Jaiyana has not been seen since, and her family is deeply concerned for her safety and well-being,” the LAPD stated in a news release.

Anyone with information about Jaiyana’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800, or call 911 in an emergency. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
