How To Fight Inflammation With One Drink

Many ailments and diseases that occur in the body start in the gut and its culprit is mucus that causes inflammation. The key is to incorporate a balanced diet and lifestyle that combats inflammation in the body. Using particular herbs and spices can be a great way to do so.

I have a goodie for you with some anti-inflammatory ingredients you can use to cleanse your body and help ease inflammation. It’s a great defense drink to keep the immune system strong and has been known to even fight your common colds, flu, viruses, and autoimmune diseases! This is a staple in my home especially living with 2 diagnosed autoimmune diseases myself.

APPLE 

Did you know eating two or more apples a day significantly decreases your risk for a stroke and colon, liver, breast, prostate, and lung cancer – and helps fight the disease? This crunchy, sweet fruit is packed with antioxidants and phytonutrients and can quench thirst on a cellular level. Apples are also highly anti-inflammatory and detoxifying due to their alkaline nature and would be extremely beneficial for anyone with an autoimmune disease

CINNAMON 

Fall calls for a wonderful aromatic spice! But did you know that cinnamon is packed with antioxidants and is very anti-inflammatory? It also has powerful anti-cancer effects and can help reduce leukemia and lymphoma cancer cells in the body. Cinnamon is also perfect for “flu season” as it helps shorten the duration of the flu and helps loosen and eliminate mucus. 

TURMERIC 

Inflammation, beware! Turmeric is here! This root and spice has the powerful ability to banish inflammation and can be used to help arthritis, autoimmune disorders, lupus, irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Turmeric and its main component curcumin have also been shown to stop tumor growth and reverse the damage done. It is even being used to prevent and treat prostate cancer such as in this study, and the same benefits are being shown for breast cancer, colon cancer, neuroblastoma, cancers caused by HPV (including cervical and oral cancers), melanoma, and more. 

Apple Cinnamon Turmeric Cleanser 

This refreshing drink is extremely satisfying and nourishing. Turmeric and cinnamon are the ultimate anti-inflammatory spices, and apples are great for detoxifying and hydrating the body. All the ingredients are significantly powerful for preventing and fighting cancerous cells to grow.

Combining these ingredients creates a nutrient powerhouse that aids many ailments, including detoxification from chemotherapy.

Ingredients: 3 cups pure clean water 1-2 red apples, cored, chopped 2 tsp cinnamon A hunk of fresh turmeric (however much you can handle) A squeeze of lemon or lime juice Instructions: Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend and enjoy! (Optional: strain before drinking.)
