Former Vice President Kamala Harris has endorsed Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the state’s closely watched U.S. Senate primary, offering a late boost as voters head to the polls.
The endorsement came through a campaign robocall distributed to Texas voters during the final stretch of early voting ahead of the March 3 primary.

Harris Urges Voters to Act
In the recorded message, Harris framed the race as a pivotal opportunity for Democrats.
“Texas has the chance to send a fighter like Jasmine Crockett to the United States Senate,” Harris said, adding that Crockett has “the experience and record to hold Donald Trump and his billionaire cronies accountable.”
She also encouraged voters to participate immediately, stressing the urgency of the moment.
“It’s time to turn Texas blue,” Harris said at the conclusion of the call.
Tight Primary Contest
Crockett, a Dallas-area congresswoman known for her outspoken advocacy on voting rights and economic equity, is locked in a competitive Democratic primary against state Rep. James Talarico of Austin.
Political analysts say Harris’ endorsement could help mobilize key Democratic constituencies, particularly younger voters and communities of color, in the final days before voting concludes.
The robocall was first reported by The Texas Tribune.
Significance of the Endorsement
Harris remains a highly influential figure within Democratic politics, especially among grassroots activists. Her support signals strong national backing for Crockett’s campaign as Democrats seek to expand their presence in Texas’ statewide offices.
With early voting concluding and Election Day approaching, both campaigns are intensifying outreach efforts across the state.
