GloRilla Keeps Her Mouth Shut on Politics After Meeting Biden And Harris, Declines Political Discourse in CNN Interview

GloRilla, the celebrated CMG artist, recently had the opportunity of a lifetime as she was invited to the White House in honor of Women’s History Month.

Reflecting on her experience meeting President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, GloRilla declined to delve into politics during her CNN interview with Laura Coates Live.

When asked about endorsing President Biden or mobilizing voters, the rapper humorously dismissed the topic, stating:

“That ain’t got nothing to do with me.” Instead, she broke into song, belting out Jill Scott’s iconic line, “I’m just living my life like it’s golden.”

“I’m not gonna talk politics, I love the president, I love everybody. But at the end of the day, the day gotta end,” she quipped, bringing a light-hearted touch to the conversation.

GloRilla expressed her excitement at meeting the nation’s leaders, describing herself as “geeked” and emphasizing how improbable such an experience seemed from her humble beginnings in Memphis.

Recalling her upbringing with “nothing,” she shared how deeply meaningful it was to make her mother proud.

“It was so cool, I was geeked,” GloRilla shared. “Everybody don’t get to meet the President and the Vice President, so just being able to be in the White House, like I never in a million years thought I’d be in the White House. Then I was in the White House and got to meet the President and Vice President? Oh, they can’t mess with me.”

For GloRilla, the heartfelt text message from her mom underscored the significance of her achievements.

“It means everything to me, because we really did come from absolute nothing. When we was living in that blue house with all my brothers and sisters, nobody never would’ve thought nobody would have been in the White House,” she said.

Reflecting on her journey, GloRilla said she finds joy in making her parents proud, highlighting the power of her accomplishments in their eyes.
