Loved ones are urgently searching for Lavonta Brown, a 30-year-old woman who has been missing since Sept. 8, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), Brown was last seen in the 1000 block of West Carson Street in Torrance.
She has not been in contact with her family since her disappearance, and relatives say they are deeply concerned for her safety.
Description and At-Risk Status

Authorities describe Brown as a Black woman, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 167 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo on the right side of her neck. She was last seen wearing an olive-green shirt and dark-colored pants.
LASD has classified Brown as at-risk due to a reported mental health disorder, which has heightened the urgency of the search.

Her family has publicly appealed for help, urging the community to come forward with any information that might lead to her safe return.
“We just want her home safe,” one relative shared privately with reporters.
