A Washington, D.C., woman has struck it big again, winning a $250,000 prize from a scratch-off lottery ticket just four months after claiming a $50,000 prize from another game.
According to USA Today, Sherri Fowler recounted to DC Lottery officials that she purchased her winning Nothing But Cash scratch-off ticket from a Chevron station on Sherman Avenue and scratched it off right there in the store.
“I was at the store and started screaming. I couldn’t believe it. I had to ask my kids to double-check,” Fowler said.
This isn’t Fowler’s first big win; she previously won $50,000 from a Win it All scratch-off ticket bought from Harvard Liquors, just a block away from the Chevron station.
With her latest windfall, Fowler has her plans set:
The overall odds of winning Nothing But Cash are 1 in 3.16, the D.C. Lottery said.
The odds of winning the $250,00 are 1 in 122,055, the lottery said.
