Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion may be one of the biggest names in Hip Hop right now, but she says that there’s tremendous pressure to churn out hit after hit.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s “New Music Daily,’ she opened up about the challenge to keep things fresh for her fans.

“I feel like, today, right now, everybody’s attention span is so short, so I feel like a lot of artists are pressured to make a song that’s — you need the first thirty seconds of the song to be a smash. Because people are, you know, you lookin’ at TikTok or you lookin’ at whatever you lookin’ at, Instagram. Everything is so quick,” she explained.

Megan says it’s not just about the music she likes, she also has to gauge the temperate of her fans when dropping a track.

“You wanna hurry up and do something that’s gonna catch everybody’s attention and I feel like it’s a lot of pressure to make music that you feel like everybody likes. So, it’s like, should I make myself this one way because I want to make sure that I hold my audience’s attention, but then like, another side of me wants to make that I always cater to my Hotties,” she explained. “I wanna do things that keep the people in love with me that fell in love with me in the first place because I like to rap.”

And Megan has been busy.

Just ten days after dropping her Popeyes Hottie Sauce last month, the rapper unleashed her new mixtape, “Something for Thee Hotties.”

The project features previously released freestyles “Southside Forever,” “Outta Town,” and “Tuned In,” and several unreleased cuts for her loyal fanbase.

Last year she dropped two projects, her debut album “Good News” and her “Suga” EP.
