Megan Thee Stallion Says She Paid $250,000 for Future Feature on New Album

by Xara Aziz

The long-awaited Megan Thee Stallion album is finally here.

Traumazine features 18 songs with collaborations from some of the world’s biggest stars, including Dua Lipa and Future – who she says accepted $250,000 in cash to be on the album.

On a Power 106 Los Angeles interview with Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk, she revealed that she wanted the Atlanta rapper on her song, “Pressurelicious.” She knew he was in Miami while she was working on the album so her team made a phone call.

“So how I went about it was, okay, somebody figured out what Future feature price,” she said. “I was just asking what’s his feature price…and they was like okay 250. He wants 250K.”

She continued: “I was like, ‘Okay, bet.’ Somebody go pull 250,000 out of the bank…and go drop it off to Future and tell him I need the verse before he leave [Miami].”

According to her, Future delivered more than she expected. So much so, she ended up rerecording her initial verses so it would be more aligned with Future’s distinctive flow, which she describes as “The Future Experience.”

Prior to the album’s release, she tweeted about the troubles she faced before dropping the album.

“Y’all know I always have problems with dropping my music under this label. All these games and having to go to court just to put out my art has been so stressful. Thank you hotties for rocking with me through the bullshit WE ALMOST OUT 👏🏾 LETS STAY FOCUSED AND RUN THIS LAST ONE UP.”

But overall, she says she’s proud of the final product. And she’s excited to hear how her fans will react to it.

“I want to take you through so many different emotions, she told Rolling Stone about “Tramazine.” At first you was twerking, now you might be crying.”
