It’s official: The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams just scored a major victory in her bitter divorce from ex-husband Simon Guobadia, and social media is eating it up. After months of courtroom delays, ICE drama, and legal jabs, a judge has finally ruled in Porsha’s favor, upholding the very prenup Simon tried to toss out.

This victory came with allegations of deception, millions in property, and a prenup that Simon claimed he never would have signed had he known Porsha was planning a Bravo comeback.

Porsha filed for divorce in February 2024, just 15 months after marrying Simon in a lavish, two-ceremony wedding that had fans talking. When she pulled the plug, she requested support and asked the court to divide their assets according to their prenuptial agreement. But Simon wasn’t having it.

He pushed back hard, alleging that Porsha lied during negotiations. In court documents, he claimed that she told him she was done with reality TV, which was a major reason he agreed to the terms.

“[Williams] made it very clear to [Guobadia] (and the public) that she was leaving the television show and not returning,” his lawyers argued. They claimed she tricked him, saying that if he had known she’d return to Real Housewives, he never would’ve signed a deal that would cost him “hundreds of thousands of dollars” and force him to split the equity in his $7 million marital home.

The judge didn’t buy it.

Despite Simon’s arguments and his very public detainment by ICE, the court sided squarely with Porsha. The judge ruled that the prenup would be enforced exactly as written, meaning Simon was liable for what he had agreed to in the prenup.

Porsha, who has always maintained that the agreement was negotiated over several months, seemed prepared for this moment. The court didn’t buy into Simon’s last-ditch claims of misrepresentation, and sources say he’s now considering an appeal. However, that path is uphill from here.

While Simon has now been deported back to Nigeria after his ICE custody ordeal, Porsha is reportedly thriving, back on RHOA, back in her bag, and clearly not looking back.
