“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore has filed for divorce from husband, Marc Daly.
According to documents obtained by RadarOnline, we’re all late hearing the news because the reality television beauty filed back in May.
The documents state that the couple’s marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
“To date, there are various issues impacting the care, safety and well-being of the minor child that could be continuously impacted if not addressed at least on a ‘Temporary’ basis,” Moore’s lawyer wrote.
The statement continued: “Without assistance and direction for this Honorable Court, it is our belief that the un- resolved matters as to the minor child will continue, and could become irreparable.”
“RHOA” viewers have watched Kenya and Marc’s tumultuous relationship play out on camera. Most times, Marc seemed to act coldly toward his wife and extremely disinterested. Kenya appeared to work hard to make her marriage work.
In June, it seemed that the couple was on their way to a loving reconciliation after Kenya posted an image of them on vacation in the Bahamas. They appeared happy in the pic. But a picture only tells part of the story.
After the season’s end, Kenya announced that they had split but that they were working on their marriage. But in season 13, she was served divorce papers on camera. She says he withdrew the divorce papers the following day.
“For the record: Marc withdrew the divorce petition the next day and said that he was not asking for alimony in the filing and that we misinterpreted NY law. There has been no further divorce action to date. This scene was taped months ago,” she tweeted in February.
While it’s sad news, we hope that Kenya and her daughter Brooklyn are doing well. Kenya may be one of the show’s more polarizing characters, but she deserves a loving, supportive husband.
