Tyla celebrated her 24th birthday in true main-character fashion at Tavares in Hollywood, where the Epic Records x Hennessy Pre-Grammys Party doubled as her birthday bash. The timing was perfect. Between her birthday and a fresh 2026 Grammy nomination, the night felt less like a party and more like a victory lap.

Held at the iconic Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, the room buzzed with industry energy and familiar faces. Usher, Kelly Rowland, Ty Dolla $ign, Kesha, Adam Lambert, and more filled the space, but all eyes stayed on Tyla. Right by her side was labelmate and fellow Grammy nominee Zara Larsson, making the celebration feel both intimate and global.

At one point, Epic Records president Ezekiel Lewis took over the moment from behind the DJ booth. He reminded the crowd that the night wasn’t just about the Grammys. It was about Tyla. On his cue, the room erupted into a full sing-along of “Happy Birthday.”

Tyla’s birthday look perfectly reflected the mood. She wore a crisp white mini dress that was simple from the front and unforgettable from the back, with a clean, backless cut that added just enough drama. The dress hugged without trying too hard, letting confidence do the work. Neon accessories brought playful contrast, especially her mismatched heels in bright green and red, a bold choice that somehow felt effortless.

Her makeup leaned into color, with vibrant green eyeshadow tying the whole look together. A loose updo with soft face-framing strands kept things relaxed, while statement earrings and stacked bracelets added personality without overpowering the moment.

When the cake came out, Lewis urged her to “make a wish” and then added, “Make two wishes.”

The party honored Epic’s 2026 Grammy nominees, and Tyla’s name came up more than once. She’s nominated for best African performance for “Push 2 Start,” continuing a run that started with her breakout hit “Water,” which earned her first Grammy win last year. Zara Larsson picked up her first-ever Grammy nomination for best dance pop recording with “Midnight Sun,” while the night also celebrated nominees including Wizkid, Yolanda Adams, GIVĒON, and Eddie Benjamin.

Even the drinks told a story. Custom Hennessy cocktails paid tribute to each nominee, turning the bar into a celebration of music!
