Proud Mom Shares How 13-Year-Old Turned Nail Hobby Into Thriving Business: ‘This Is Her Second Stream of Income’

by Gee NY

At just 13 years old, Carrington is proving that talent, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit have no age limit.

What started as a Christmas gift of nail supplies has transformed into a booming business that has her booked up every weekend.

Her mother, who shared the story in a now-viral video, explained that Carrington’s journey began when she wanted to join her on nail salon visits.

With nail prices climbing, her mom instead bought Carrington an Amazon starter kit. Soon, she went from practicing on herself to doing nails for friends and family “just for fun.”

Now, the Houston middle schooler has paying clients lined up, and she recently gave her mother a full fall nail set that left her “blown away” by her daughter’s skill.

“This is her second stream of income at just 13 years old,” her mom proudly shared. “She shows me every single day that I’m doing something right. I’m just so blessed to be her mom.”

Carrington’s story is more than a family moment — it’s a snapshot of Gen Z’s entrepreneurial drive. Whether through tech, beauty, or creative services, young innovators like Carrington are rewriting what it means to launch a business before high school graduation.

With clients already eager for her work, Carrington is positioning herself as one of Houston’s brightest young talents in the nail industry.
