The former TV Queen is not doing well, and her family is on edge over her alcohol abuse over the past two and a half years.

Wendy Williams’ family fears for her life amid her struggles with her health and addiction issues, including lymphedema, a condition that causes swelling in her feet, and Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disease that can cause bulging eyes.

According to reports, Wendy Williams has been checked into an unnamed Rehab facility to treat cognitive issues. But the name and location have been kept from Williams’ family, who do not know her whereabouts and are very concerned about her alcohol addiction.

Wendy’s sister, Wanda, 65, told PEOPLE that for the past year, the family has sat on pins and needles every night, with their cell phones right next to the bed wondering if the next call is going to come, saying she passed away.

“There were points during the past year when everyone in this family wondered whether that call [that she was dead] was going to come in the middle of the night. Everybody in this family sat on pins and needles every single night with their cell phones right next to the bed,” Wanda disclosed.

The 65-year-old also revealed that during Wendy Williams’ visits to her family in Florida, they had a strict “anti-alcohol” policy to help her to stay sober. But Wendy “started to push everybody away,” including her son, Kevin Hunter Jr.

“Wendy is right when she says, ‘Wanda doesn’t want me to drink,'” Wanda continued. “It wasn’t so much, ‘I don’t want you to drink because drinking is bad, but drinking for you is not good.'”

Williams revealed on the show in March 2019 that she had been living in a sober house, citing her previous cocaine use during her rise to fame as a radio shock jock in the 1990s.
