Rumors of a romance between Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Karlie Redd and Lamar Odom have been floating around for some weeks — but daytime talk show queen Wendy Williams does not approve.
Williams gave her thoughts during the ‘Hot Topics’ part of her show. While she believes the celebs may be sleeping together, she doesn’t believe it will go much further than that.
“I don’t believe that he has a relationship with Karlie Redd. Do I believe that they mess around? Yes. Do I believe that she’s trying it? Yes. Do I believe that she’s too old and just…a little dusty for him? Yes!”
“Only because Lamar is a simple guy with simple ways,” Wendy added. “And Karlie Redd is a strategic conniver.”
On the reality show, Karlie has earned a reputation as a bit of a schemer, most likely for the benefit of the show.
Weeks back, after the couple was declared a couple by social media, Odom seemed to dismiss the reports. Last month, during a trip to The Wendy Williams show, he claimed he and Karlie were just friends.
“We’re friends,” said Odom. “Really good friends, getting to know each other.” Williams then asked the former NBA star whether or not they “sleep together.” No paused. He laughed and then replied, “As friends. No.”
Williams and Odom appear to be establishing a close friendship.
Following Odom’s celebrity bout with Aaron Carter earlier this month, Williams took to social media to reveal that she hung out with Odom, who has been a guest on her show more than once this year alone and says the baller was more than complimentary.
“@lamarodom is the MAN!!” Williams wrote. “He spent time with me after his WIN. He put this belt on me & commented on my small waist in a good way. He was VERY wanting to take a shower. He left my suite, I got to my car & fell in my fortress bed 4 am.”
