Since the announcements that Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams have left “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” there is much speculation as to whether NeNe Leakes will be making a return to the show.
More like wishful thinking.
According to a source close to NeNe… that will never happen.
The source says that there is “no way that NeNe will ever be back on that show after the way things were left between the network and her.”
The source continued per HollywoodLife, “Those rumors are completely false. There have not been any conversations for her to appear.” Per the insider, Bravo wants “different ladies with a different vibe.”
NeNe announced her exit from the show in September 2020. At the time, she said that it had been a “very difficult decision.” Three months later, NeNe incited her fans to boycott Bravo. She accused the network of racial discrimination and blasted the network on social media after Andy Cohen discussed her exit with Wendy Williams on air.
“Listen, she probably has a lot of opportunities and hopefully she will come back at some point,” Cohen said on “The Wendy Williams Show.”
“While others were being promoted, BLACK WOMEN who created shows, created genres, built franchise and built networks were being DEMOTED,” NeNe tweeted.
NeNe also called them out on a video posted on Youtube.
“Leave my name alone. If you don’t have anything positive to say about me working for your network after 13 years, stop bringing up my name on your show to help your ratings. Stop it. You didn’t want me here. You’ve been forcing me out for the past four years,” she said. “So there’s no reason why you need to keep bringing me up and keep talking so negatively about me.”
There was a rumored lawsuit, but it never came. It’s unclear as to what NeNe’s relationship with Cohen is at this time.
