A Georgia woman has been sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after a jury found her guilty of poisoning her husband to death with antifreeze.
Torii Fedrick was convicted in Thomas County on Thursday, March 27, 2025, for the 2021 murder of her husband, Phil Fedrick.
Authorities say she administered ethylene glycol, a toxic chemical found in antifreeze and brake fluid, leading to his death.
Phil Fedrick was hospitalized at Archbold Memorial Hospital in September 2021, where medical staff suspected poisoning.
He died a week later, prompting an investigation by the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

An autopsy confirmed that antifreeze poisoning was the cause of death, and investigators ruled out accidental exposure.
Fedrick was arrested in November 2022.
Her defense team argued that her husband’s death was a suicide, but the jury rejected that claim.
Sheriff Tim Watkins, who worked on the case, said he was satisfied with the verdict.
