With three and half months left of 2017, the end of the year to some maybe a blast and to others, it’s not. If you’re someone who doesn’t look forward to the new year than 2018 might just change your outlook. Pirelli has released behind the scenes images of their new 2018 “Alice in Wonderland” themed calendar that features an all-black cast.

The calendar is taken through the lens of photographer Tim Walker and it’s styled by Edward Enninful, who’s the chief editor at British Vogue. They are joined by quite a few amazing artists who take on the following roles, Lupita Nyong’o is The Dormouse; Sean “Diddy” Combs is The Royal Beheaders; Djimon Hounsou is The King of Hearts and much more!

Established in 1964, Pirelli has come a long way since its beginnings as a presentation for female beauty. Throughout the years, it’s become more socially aware. In 2016, photographer Annie Leibovitz changed it up and decided not to focus on ladies’ physical qualities but to center the calendar on the numerous achievements done by women. Then in 2017, Peter Lindbergh decided to take another leap and explore beauty “not manipulated by commercial interests” by taking photos of actresses Nicole Kidman and Julianne Moore with no make-up and fully clothed.

2018 will be no different than the previous years, in fact, this calendar might be their biggest yet. The calendar will display the essence of black beauty which is diverse and features from albino model Thando Hopa as the Princess of Hearts, Ru Paul as the Queen of Hearts, and Whoopi Goldberg as the Royal Duchess to name a few.

We’re here for it and we can’t wait for the calendar’s release. Check out the photos below.
