Grammy-winning soul singer Erykah Badu seems to have joined the ongoing rap beef between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj.
Her recent actions on social media have caused a stir among fans.
Badu first reposted a promotional image of Megan Thee Stallion on her Instagram story, seemingly showing support for the “hot girl coach” amid the heated exchange of diss tracks between Megan and Nicki.
Then the situation escalated when Nicki Minaj’s fans, known as the Barbz, accused Badu of liking posts that were critical of the “Pink Friday” artist.
During a conversation on X (formerly Twitter), one of Minaj’s fans directly questioned Badu about the situation after she made an arguably even more shady remark.
The two were discussing rapper Azelia Banks, who has never shied away from publicly expressing her disdain for Minaj, and often showing her support for whoever is on the other side of her many beefs.
After Badu stated that Banks is actually a good friend of hers, the host of the live event told her to relay a message to musician – to tell her to:
“watch her mouth when she be speaking on the queen of rap”
In response, Badu questioned:
“Who is the queen of rap again?” sparking further speculation.
The conversation took a confrontational turn when the host pressed Badu about a liked post that angered the Barbz.
Despite the pushback, Badu maintained her stance, refusing to explain her actions and repeatedly questioning the individual’s understanding.
While Badu’s exact liked post remains unclear, her public support for Megan Thee Stallion is evident. The singer not only reposted a promotional image of Megan but also left heart emojis under the rapper’s picture, emphasizing her alignment with Megan in the ongoing feud.
