On Saturday, February 7, the Bronx superstar stepped out of her San Francisco hotel looking every bit like herself. That’s when she spotted a silver humanoid robot standing outside. Instead of walking past it, Cardi turned it into content.
“Get away from my man,” she joked, laughing as she playfully danced around the robot. What started as a harmless, funny interaction quickly escalated into a full-on performance. Dressed in a black-and-yellow, skin-tight jumpsuit and towering stilettos, Cardi B began circling the robot, showing off her signature dance moves and even giving it a tongue-in-cheek lap dance as a small crowd gathered.
As Cardi leaned in closer, the robot unexpectedly shifted forward. The movement caught her off guard. Within seconds, both Cardi B and the robot lost balance. Gasps rippled through the crowd as the rapper tumbled to the sidewalk, with the robot briefly falling on top of her. Onlookers rushed in, helping her back to her feet as she quickly confirmed she was okay.
The clip, captured from multiple angles, spread almost instantly.
TMZ posted the video shortly after, and that’s when Cardi’s playful mood disappeared. In the comment section, she issued a blunt warning. “Delete or I will sue … immediately,” she wrote. She didn’t stop there, adding that she planned to call TMZ founder Harvey Levin directly.
Despite the scare, Cardi appeared unharmed, brushing off the fall with help from the crowd and walking away without visible injury.
The timing of the incident only added to the buzz. Cardi was in San Francisco ahead of Super Bowl festivities after her boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs, helped lead the New England Patriots to the conference championship. The Patriots are set to face the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, and Cardi B made it clear weeks ago that she would be in attendance.
