Angel Reese Unveils Reebok ‘Charm City’ Sneakers Honoring Baltimore Roots

by Gee NY

WNBA star Angel Reese is celebrating her hometown in style with the release of her latest Reebok sneaker, the Charm City colorway.

The Chicago Sky forward announced that the special edition shoe pays tribute to Baltimore, her hometown, and its beloved NFL team, the Ravens.

The sneaker, which Reese debuted during a recent game against the Connecticut Sun, will be available to consumers in October for a retail price of $120.

“This one’s for Charm City, to honor my roots and the community of Baltimore that has backed me from day one,” Reese said. “This city gave me my grit and made me who I am today.”

The Charm City edition joins three previously revealed colorways of the Reebok Angel Reese 1—Diamond Dust, Receipts Ready, and Meboundswith the full collection set to drop beginning Sept. 18.

Beyond her sneaker line, Reese has been active off the court, giving back to communities both in Baltimore and Chicago. On Aug. 16, she partnered with Reebok through her nonprofit, the Angel C. Reese Foundation, to host a back-to-school event in Chicago.

More than 2,000 students received Reebok backpacks filled with school supplies, alongside live music and food to kick off the school year.

Though battling through injuries and missed games this season, Reese continues to shine in her sophomore year. She recently tied a record with WNBA veteran Tina Charles, recording her 45th career double-double in just 60 games—a mark Charles reached in 68 games during the 2010–2011 season. Reese is also tied for this season’s league lead in double-doubles with Alyssa Thomas and A’ja Wilson.

The Charm City release underscores Reese’s growing influence both in professional sports and in her community, cementing her place as one of the WNBA’s rising stars and a cultural force off the court.
