An Atlanta exotic dancer was shot dead while in an Uber in the city’s upscale Buckhead area, police confirmed Tuesday.

Teisha Brewley, who was also known as Tisha Brodie and Tavi Baddie, was near the intersection of Lindbergh Drive and Adina Drive shortly before 5 AM when she was murdered. She was 30.

Brewley was a social media influencer of Guyanese descent who had recently celebrated her 30th birthday. Police believe the shooting was targeted but no suspects have been named.

The victim had a large following on TikTok and Instagram, where she amassed more than 40,000 followers. She was also active on the digital platform, OnlyFans.

Police say Brewley had ordered for an Uber after working a shift at a strip club on Cheshire Bridge Road. According to WSB-TV, the Uber driver said two vehicles trailed behind his Black Escalade as he and the passenger pulled out of the club’s parking lot. Moments later, the shooting took place, which authorities believe was “targeted.” The Uber driver further stated he believes the shooting was an ambush.

Johari Humbles, a witness at the scene of the shooting, said the victim was less than one mile away from her residence when she was killed.

“Turns out she only lives on the next block,” Humbles said. “So she’s less than a block away from home at that red light.”

Another man spoke to WSB-TV stating that he was awakened out of his sleep from the sound of gunshots. “It sounded like a war was going on outside,” Nic Taylor said. “I was shook. I mean, usually, when you hear gunshots, it’s just like‚ ‘Pow! Pow! Pow!’ and it’s over, but that sounded like a good 20 seconds.”

Family and friends gathered for a candlelight vigil to celebrate Brewley’s life Thursday evening. This story is developing.
