R&B sensation SZA is Azealia Banks’ new target. The outspoken rapper recently lashed out at SZA for collaborating with Wu-Tang legend RZA, accusing the singer of ignoring her troubling history with the famed producer.
In 2017, RZA admitted Russell Crowe spat at Azealia Banks during a 2016 confrontation.
A year earlier, before RZA’s admission, Azealia Banks had responded to an allegation that she threatened guests at a party thrown by Russell Crowe at his Beverly Hills hotel room on Saturday.
According to reports, Banks attended the intimate bash with RZA as a signee of his label, and Crowe appeared alongside RZA in the movie American Gangster.
The 212 rapper claimed RZA tried to connect her with Crowe, who used the N-word, choked her, and spat at her. However, others at the party claim she used the N-word.
The tension between Banks and RZA has remained unresolved since the 2016 incident. However, Banks’ recent remarks about SZA collaborating with RZA seem to have reignited the controversy.
As per usual, she took to X (Twitter) and kicked things off by saying, “Sza is really such an ugly person for having Rza on her album after asking me to be on it; me politely and honestly declining, after news of him trying to pimp me out to Russell Crowe broke. That was really a huge slap in the face and truest sign of a b**** who will always be ugly.”
Banks escalated her insult by mentioning the TDE star’s physical appearance in her rant.
“Sis can get all the procedures in the world. She’ll always be that insecure fat Muslim girl from New Jersey with the big chin and the gay husband.”
It’s worth noting that RZA isn’t officially listed as a featured artist on SOS or Ctrl., but he did help announce the SZA’s album in 2017.
In the Ctrl. announcement, RZA penned a custom verse for the “Kill Bill” crooner.
