Llayna and Saniah Maul, twin sisters hailing from Tallahassee, Florida, have achieved an exceptional academic feat by securing the positions of Valedictorian and Salutatorian, respectively, at Godby High School.
Their journey to the top of their class has been marked by dedication, hard work, and a deep respect for education, as expressed by the sisters themselves.
Llayna, the Valedictorian, said they are inspired to excel because they have a duty to honor the efforts of their teachers, stating:
“They’re dedicating their lives to be able to teach you.”
Saniah, the Salutatorian, echoed this sentiment, and said she has always been committed to excellence.
Beyond their outstanding academic performance, the Maul twins have actively participated in extracurricular activities, particularly in theater, where they showcased their talents in productions such as “Shrek the Musical” at the state level.
Additionally, they have pursued college-level courses at Tallahassee Community College to further enrich their academic journey.
Annie Leonard, the proud mother of the Maul twins, expressed her joy and pride in her daughters’ achievements.
Drawing from her own experiences attending Godby High School and raising her children, Leonard highlighted the significance of instilling a strong work ethic and providing unwavering support.
Furthermore, Leonard acknowledged the pivotal role of a robust support system, encompassing teachers, parents, the community, and the bond between the sisters themselves.
She said while her daughters’ accomplishments are remarkable, they are a testament to what can be achieved with a good support.
“My daughters are wonderful but they’re doing what anybody can do with support,” said Leonard.
