Music legend Dionne Warwick has weighed in on the latest holiday culinary craze: the “Mayo-Nog.”

Dionne Warwick has once again blessed us with her signature sass and wit, this time aimed at an unusual holiday treat, a mayonnaise eggnog milkshake that has divided the internet.

In an unexpected twist this holiday season, Hellmann’s introduced its “Frozen Mayo-Nog” as part of a bold festive pairing, complete with Snickerdoodle Mayo Cookies drizzled in mayo marshmallow glaze. The unique concoction—crafted from a mix of milk, heavy cream, dark rum, cognac, apple brandy, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and yes, mayonnaise—has sparked heated debates.

While it looks like your classic frothy eggnog with a sprinkle of spices, the addition of mayonnaise as a key ingredient has left people either intrigued or completely horrified.

Social media has been flooded with reactions ranging from “This is genius!” to “Why does this exist?”

The brand claims this daring pairing “shines a light on the fact that holiday celebrations are incomplete without this rich and creamy condiment.”

Dionne Warwick, however, was not amused. The legendary singer took to social media to express her disapproval of the unconventional beverage, simply stating, “This is exactly why I blocked y’all the first time.”

The “Mayo-Nog” recipe has certainly divided the internet, with many expressing skepticism and disgust at the idea of incorporating mayonnaise into a holiday classic.

For the brave souls interested in trying the drink, Hellmann offers a full recipe, suggesting that the mayo adds an unexpected richness and creaminess to the festive cocktail. But for Dionne Warwick and others, not everyone is ready to embrace salad dressing in their eggnog.

Find the full recipe below:

Frozen Mayo-Nog (makes 2 servings)

  • 1/4 cup Hellmann’s Mayonnaise
  • 3 ounces whole milk
  • 3 ounces heavy cream
  • 3 ounces simple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1½ ounces rum (preferably Ron Zacapa)
  • 1½ ounces apple brandy (preferably Laird’s)
  • 1½ ounces cognac (preferably Grand Marnier)
  • 1 cup ice

Add all ingredients into a blender with ice and blend until smooth. Garnish with a dusting of cinnamon.

Would you give mayo-nog a try, or are you siding with Dionne on this one?
