The iconic trio of Destiny’s Child reunited on Nov. 21 at New York City’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for the opening night of the Broadway musical Death Becomes Her.
Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland attended the event to support Michelle Williams, who stars as Viola Van Horn in the production, based on the 1992 cult classic film.
Beyoncé shared glimpses of the special night on Instagram, posting photos and videos of the show and the celebration.
One post was affectionately captioned, “My Belle,” alongside snapshots of Williams on stage, the playbill, and heartfelt moments shared between the Destiny’s Child members, including Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles.
The musical adaptation of Death Becomes Her features a stellar cast, including Megan Hilty as Madeline Ashton, Jennifer Simard as Helen Sharp, and Christopher Sieber as Ernest Menville.
The dark comedy, originally led by Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, Bruce Willis, and Isabella Rossellini, has been reimagined for the Broadway stage, blending humor, drama, and music.
Michelle Williams responded to Beyoncé’s touching Instagram tribute, commenting, “I try not to cry too early in the day BUT……. My sisters 4ever!”
The post highlighted the bond that has remained strong between the trio, even two decades after the release of their last album, Destiny Fulfilled, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts in November 2004.
In October, Williams shared her disappointment at missing Beyoncé and Rowland’s appearance at a Kamala Harris rally in Houston due to her Broadway commitments.
“It’s a sacrifice that we make [being] on Broadway,” Williams said during an appearance on Sherri. She added that she was proud of her bandmates for “representing and holding me down in their own way.”
