GloRilla goes viral after body cam footage surfaces showing the moment cops pulled her over and ultimately took her to jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, among two other charges.
In recently released bodycam footage, rapper GloRilla maintained her composure when an officer pulled her over on Tuesday in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
GloRilla denied being drunk.
The Suwanee police officer informed the rapper that she had made an illegal U-turn at a red light. After getting close to the car, the officer tells GloRilla that she can smell alcohol on her breath and marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Glo tells the officer she’s “cool” and isn’t “drunk or nothing.” The officer continues asking the rapper about her alcohol intake. However, GloRilla continues to insist that she is “okay.”
In the footage, although GloRilla insisted she was OK to drive, you can tell right away that this officer wouldn’t let her off the hook. The policewoman did not accept that and forced her to exit the vehicle.
Before exiting the vehicle, GloRilla informed the officer that she had a gun registered to her name in the car, also admitting she had marijuana in her possession but only in a small amount.
However, the police report does not mention a gun, and she wasn’t charged with possessing a weapon. It needs to be clarified if GloRilla just misspoke.
After getting out of the car, GloRilla was told to take part in several sobriety tests. Although the rapper seemed to perform “pretty decently on most” of the tests, she objected to taking a breathalyzer.
As the officer awaits a fellow officer to assist in conducting field sobriety tests, Woods and the officer can be heard conversing.
“Do you know who I am?” GloRilla asked.
“No, I do not,” the officer can be heard responding.
“Oh,” the rapper replied. “You’ve never heard of me, though. You don’t know who I am?”
“Enlighten me on who you are,” the officer requests.
GloRilla responded, “No because you still gonna pick on me. It don’t matter who I am.”
