Janet Hubert Joins Cast of ‘The Last O.G.’

Janet Hubert has joined the cast of “The Last O.G.,” the TBS comedy starring Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish.

“The Last O.G.” centers on follows Tray (Morgan), an ex-con who is released from a 15-year prison stretch. Tray works hard to find a place to live and hold a steady job. Upon his release, Tray is devastated to discover that his former girlfriend, Shay (Haddish), has married an amiable, successful white man (Ryan Gaul) who is helping raise the twins (Taylor Mosby and Dante Hoagland) Tray never knew existed.

Tray strives to prove himself as a competent father and navigates gentrified Brooklyn with his savvy street skills.

According to Deadline, Hubert will join The Last O.G. as Miss May Miller. One of Roberta’s (Anna Maria Horsford) oldest and dearest friends and weekly bid whist partner. As teens, they were rivals, but over time, the pair developed a strong friendship as part of a weekly card playing foursome.

Yes I am recurring on the LASTOG…what a joyous set…” Hubert wrote via Instagram. “TRACY MORGAN and ANNA MARIE…are an absolute joy to work with! Never give up on life even when you think it…and everyone has given up on you. There is always someone…you may not even know. God is watching.”

Since leaving “The Fresh Prince,” Hubert has starred in “The Job,” “The Bernie Mac Show,” “One Life to Live,” and “If Loving You Is Wrong,” as well as the independent web series “King Este.” She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for the web series.
