Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Karlie Redd has never been shy about sharing her opinions or setting firm boundaries; her most recent revelation is no exception.
Karlie chatted with Lore’l on Thursday (August 15), discussing her music, friendships, and love life. During their 30-minute conversation, Lore’l brought up the topic of friends’ role in relationships.
The radio host enquired, “You don’t want your friends to be cool with your man?” Karlie Redd was unapologetic in her fiery response to Lore’l, saying, “Not even if I die.”
“Not even if you and I are in a car and we get into a car accident, and I need to go to the hospital, and you need to call my man. Don’t call him,” Karlie Redd continued.
She also agreed with Lore’l’s comment that her friends and man should not have each other’s phone numbers.
“That’s just how I am. I’m not insecure or anything like that. Just don’t hit up my man,” Karlie Redd clarified.
She added, “If you knew him before and you guys were already friends, cool. But if I introduced you to him, absolutely not. If you knew him before, there’s nothing that I can do about it.”
Karlie’s statement sparked a wave of social media reactions, with fans taking sides in the debate. Some applauded her for establishing clear boundaries, while others wondered what kind of friends she had.
“The reason Karlie feels like this is because she’s been THAT friend,” a fan pointed out.
Another added, “Praying for genuine friends for everybody reading this, so you never have to feel like this.”
Another user wrote, “Idk I agree with her. I don’t even befriend my friends men on social media and vice versa.”
