Toni Braxton and Bryan “Birdman” Williams may have made their relationship legal three years after their official engagement in 2020.
The Grammy-award-winning songstress and Birdman first made their relationship official in May 2016 when they appeared as a couple at the BET Hip-Hop Awards that June.
Before their official engagement in January 2020, the couple initially engaged in February 2018. Although they called it off in January 2019, the couple remained together – off and on – until now.
According to an exclusive report, sighted by ShineMyCrown, the R&B legend is officially married to her longtime boyfriend in a private ceremony in Mexico.
The news was leaked by “a person close to the Birdman” who spoke to MediaTakeout.
According to the “confident”, the couple decided to keep their wedding private because they didn’t want their business on social media. The informant continued to give details about the nuptials, saying that the ceremony was in a private resort in Mexico and that attendees (close family and friends) were asked ( a request from the couple) to keep their marriage private – side-eye.
“He (Birdman) wanted to get married, and he decided that she was the woman for him, so they did it,” the informer revealed.
Last Sunday, Toni Braxton shared a photo on Instagram, suggesting that the couple were still going strong, even though they had been under the radar for a while.
The 56-year-old divorced her husband of 12 years, Keri Lewis, in 2013.
In 2019, Toni revealed details about her divorce during an episode of the Red Table Talk. She disclosed how, although they were divorced on paper, they were still sleeping with each other for “a good year and a half.”
“My husband became my boyfriend. We were attempting to salvage the relationship again. And we dated for almost two years after we got a divorce,” Toni Braxton divulged.
