LSU Women’s Basketball Adds Two Nonconference Games, Will Play in U.S. Virgin Islands This November

by Gee NY

The LSU women’s basketball team is headed to paradise once again this fall. The Tigers announced Monday, July 14, that they’ve added two more nonconference matchups to their 2025–2026 schedule.

The matchups will include a trip to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands to compete in the 2025 Paradise Jam Tournament.

LSU will open the tournament on Nov. 28 against Marist. A win would send them to the championship game on Nov. 29, where they would face the winner of Miami (Ohio) vs. Washington State.

This marks the fifth straight year under head coach Kim Mulkey that LSU has booked a tropical destination in November. Last season, the team traveled to The Bahamas, where they claimed the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship by defeating Washington and North Carolina State.

Marquee Matchup at Duke

The Tigers had previously locked in another high-profile nonconference game — a Dec. 4 road trip to Duke as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge. That showdown is expected to be the headline matchup of LSU’s nonconference slate.

LSU enters the upcoming season with a reloaded roster and returning star power. Senior guard Flau’jae Johnson and junior standout Mikaylah Williams will lead a team featuring eight new additions — including five freshmen and three transfers.

The remainder of LSU’s nonconference schedule will be released at a later date.
