Tyrese is feeling a little bruised after the Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul, Mary J. Blige, turned down his request to collaborate on his new album.

In a candid Instagram Live, Tyrese vented his frustration and heartache, revealing that Blige passed on two songs he crafted specifically for her.
“I tried my best to get Mary J. Blige on both songs, but she passed on them. It’s ok. I feel a way about it, I’m hurt. I’m really hurt, I can’t lie,” he said in the video, his voice heavy with disappointment.

He explained that he created the song “tailor-made” for her, pouring his heart and soul into the music. Despite the rejection, Tyrese still praised Blige’s legendary status, calling her “one of a kind.” He then turned to the public for help, asking, “Y’all can get this message to Mary?”

But the internet was not having it, with many people accusing him of crossing a line.

This isn’t the first time Tyrese has tried to get Blige’s attention in a public way. In a previous social media post, he wrote, “Can someone please help me to get a hold and reach Mary J. Blige?” He called her his “Capricorn queen” and said he had been trying to reach her for “two weeks.”

But social media detectives found a reason why Mary J. Blige might be keeping her distance. They pulled up an old video of Tyrese and Mary from her 50th birthday party.

In the resurfaced clip, Tyrese is seen trying to pose for a photo with Mary, and he reaches down to touch her bare thigh. Mary, not missing a beat, immediately slaps his hand away and hits him with the classic warning, “Aye, aye, aye, n—a.”

Fans are speculating that this might be the real reason she’s been keeping her distance ever since.
