Rihanna is fully endorsing Kendrick Lamar’s upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance, and she couldn’t be more excited! During a recent interview, the Fenty business mogul was asked what she thought about the Compton rapper headlining the prestigious event, and she couldn’t contain her excitement.

What a year it has been for Kendrick Lamar. Even though he didn’t have an album out, Compton MC dominated the charts while battling Drake. “Like That,” “Euphoria,” and “Not Like Us” all peaked at number five on the Hot 100 chart, where they remained for weeks, reminding doomsayers and critics that rap remains America’s most popular genre and hip-hop its greatest export.

On September 8, Kendrick Lamar announced he would perform at the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

After the announcement, fans of Lil Wayne are furious that Kendrick Lamar has been chosen to headline the Super Bow. Weezy Empire believes Lil Wayne is the best choice to headline the Super Bowl because he is from New Orleans. The Super Bowl will be in New Orleans this year.

While users online, including Lil Wayne’s longtime engineer Fabian Marasciullo and rapper Nicki Minaj, weren’t fans of Kendrick Lamar’s selection, he did receive one notable co-sign.

Initially, Rihanna showed her support for Kendrick Lamar by liking his reveal post on Instagram.

Over the weekend, the “Umbrella” hitmaker gave her thoughts on the contentious subject at a Fenty event.

ET began the conversation by asking Rihanna, “What do you think of Kendrick doing the Super Bowl?”

Rihanna, with her signature flair, responded instantly, “GOAT. GOAT. That’s GOAT. What is there to doubt on that?”

Knowing that Rihanna herself has taken center stage at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, the interviewer pushed for more insight. “Oh, it’s going to be amazing. I’m asking you what you think because you’ve done the Super Bowl before. You have special insights.”

With a glowing smile, Rihanna added, “It’s a diamond on a ring finger, honey. It’s meant to be. It’s Kendrick Lamar. He deserves it. I cannot wait to see it. Kendrick, thank you.”
