Summer House reality star Mya Allen is setting the record straight after pictures were found of her with a swollen lip, which caused her to miss filming an episode of the hit Bravo TV series.
In a series of Instagram Stories she shared with her 72,000 followers, Allen is seen with a swollen, bruised and bloodied lip after she said she was attacked by a dog that bit her in the face. The incident wound her in the hospital where she needed treatment to heal the bite.
Queens of Bravo later announced the incident on Instagram as well, sharing a screenshot of one of Mya’s Instagram Stories.
“Mya missed this [week]’s Summer House… and got bit by a dog,” a caption on top of the screenshot read.
Shortly after the dog attack, she shared an image of her and her enlarged lip being driven to the emergency room by her now-ex-boyfriend Oliver Gray.
“Stopped the celebration for a quick stop to my other home aka the [emergency room],” she wrote in the caption. She then shared another image of her lip up close and personal, which she said was “ripped open” by the dog.
“To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever looked better,” she joked in the caption.
Later, she shared an image of her lying in a hospital bed with an IV bag standing beside her. “Thug Life,” she wrote. In another image, she can be seen smiling at the camera while throwing up the peace sign.
In the latest season of Summer House, Mya revealed that she and Oliver had broken up for good.
“He wasn’t who I thought he was,” Mya said on Watch What Happens Live, explaining that is a “bad breakup” and adding that she eventually had to block her ex.
It was later found that she broke up with him because she found that he was cheating, according to another Bravo alum, Danielle Olivera.
