NeNe Leakes has been speaking out this week following her recent exit from Bravo’s Housewives franchise.
Last month, Leakes announced that she would not be returning to the show, raising speculation that she had been let go by the network — but in a recent interview, she revealed that there was an offer on the table for her.
She didn’t want it.
“I left the show,” she told ET. “I had an offer on the table. I did not think the offer was a fair offer.”
Ahead of the announcement, Leakes deactivated her Instagram account and remained silent as rumors continued to make their rounds. But after her former friend, Wendy Williams, took part in a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Leakes returned to Instagram to tear into them both.
“Well, I thought that we had a relationship and a great relationship. But maybe we didn’t. I don’t know,” she explains. “You know, you don’t turn off your feelings for someone because you had an argument.I’ve always loved Andy like he was a family member of mine. I worked with him for a very long time so I have a lot of love for him, so, you know, you can’t just turn your feelings off because you had an argument.”
All is not lost. Leakes remains optimistic about reconciling with Cohen in the future.
“I mean, again, I consider him to be like family, families argue. Families fight. Families come back together,” she says. “I have nothing but love for him and I’m certain that we will talk. We just texted right after that happened.”
