Nicki Minaj has long been known to be vocal about her numerous plastic surgeries, but in a recent Instagram clip, the Queens rapper shared with her 225 million followers how she looked with “no surgery” and “no wigs.”
On Thursday, the Beam Me Up Scotty star posted the clip in which she is seen in what appears to be a photo shoot. She dons a gold-colored halter top, gold door-knocker earrings, long fingernails and her hair is crimped with a side bang as she poses for the camera.
“25 never looked better,” she wrote in the clip’s caption. “No surgery. No wigs. Just a brand new Colgate smile.”
Late last week, the 40-year-old Trinidadian native shared with her Barbz that she would be releasing a new album called Pink Friday 2. It immediately began to trend on X (formerly Twitter.)
While making the announcement, she posted two videos: one shows her listening to a new song off the album while on a photo shoot, while the other shows her lip-synching to another song while in the studio with colleagues.
She further revealed that the new album would be a sequel to her 2010 debut album, which cemented her presence as a powerhouse emcee in the male-dominated hip hop industry.
“Dear Barbz, I’ve been trying to find the right time to tell you this for a few days. Due to some really exciting news that I’ll share with you guys @ a later time, I’ve shifted the album date just a tad bit,” she wrote.
She added: “Trust me, it’ll be WELL WORTH THE WAIT…but since I AM shifting the date just a tad, I’d like to give you guys a tiny SIP of some more album tea so that I don’t have to get cussed out so…here it goes: MY NEW ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED ON 11.17.23- And she shall be called #PinkFriday2. I love you guys so much. I am so grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me. At times maybe I didn’t even deserve all that you have poured into me. Nonetheless, you. will. love. this. album.”
She then stated that she would go on tour next year.
“I will give tour deets closer to that time, but obviously the tour will start around the first quarter of 2024,” she wrote. “I’ll also share the REAL album cover at a later date.”
Most people were excited about the release of the new music, although some had some choice words. For those with criticisms, she said: “When you are a rapper, you know the history of the greats & when you are an internet personality, you do not. So if you knew the history of the very culture you are trying to penetrate, you’d sitcho goofy ahh df down. It costs you nothing to stfu. PINK FRIDAY 2 11/17/23.”
