Porsha Williams has once again found herself at the center of online controversy after gifting her daughter, Pilar Jhena, a custom-made mini Tesla. While many fans praised the extravagant present, others argued that a Barbie convertible would have been better.
On March 22, 2019, the reality TV star welcomed her first and only child, Pilar Jhena McKinley, with her ex Dennis McKinley. The former became engaged in September 2018 while Williams was pregnant with Pilar, but their relationship was on and off until they split permanently in 2020.
Williams has maintained a positive co-parenting relationship with McKinley, and the two work together to provide a strong foundation for their daughter.
And clearly, Pilar’s mother is head over heels in love with her mini-me.
Porsha shared heartwarming videos of Pilar’s reaction to the gift on social media.
In the clip, Porsha Williams and Pilar Jhena are enjoying a ride together in a miniature Tesla Cybertruck. Porsha, dressed in a white sleeveless top and a pink-patterned skirt, is seated beside Pilar, wearing a pink outfit with a matching pink bow in her hair. Both look happy and excited as they ride the small, futuristic electric vehicle down what appears to be a driveway.
The tiny, stylish car quickly became the center of attention, but not just for the reasons Porsha might have expected.
Critics were quick to point out that for a toddler, the pink, glamorous Barbie convertible might have been the ultimate dream ride. Adding that a Barbie convertible would have been more age-appropriate and practical for a baby girl of Pilar’s age. They argued that a mini Tesla, while impressive, might be too complex for a young child to fully appreciate or utilize.
“Poor baby was trying to figure out how to get in that easy bake oven,” a fan pointed out.
Another added, “That baby def wanted a Barbie truck 🤣🤣.”
