Rep. Jasmine Crockett may soon own the phrase she used to criticize Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) during a heated House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing last week. The Texas Democrat’s campaign filed a trademark application for “bleach blonde bad built butch body” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Sunday. USA Today first reported the news of the trademark application on Tuesday.

According to the application, the phrase is intended for use on various clothing items and accessories, including hats, hoodies, socks, and T-shirts. This move follows the 43-year-old lawmaker’s launch of what she called the “Crockett Clapback Collection” last week, which featured a T-shirt with the same alliterative insult she used during her exchange with Greene.

“I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading,” Greene told Crockett during the late-night Oversight Committee hearing.

Shortly thereafter, Crockett posed what she defined as a theoretical question about potential violations of congressional protocol.

“I’m just curious, just to better understand your ruling,” Crockett said, referring to a decision made by Chair James Comer (R-Ky.).

“If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blonde bad built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?” Crockett said, in a veiled barb aimed at Greene.

Greene responded to the clapback in a video posted to social media stating: “Yes my body is built and strong NOT with nips, tucks, plastic, or silicone, but through a healthy lifestyle.”

Taylor Greene, who turns 50 next week, continued that she hopes to remain active with all the extracurricular activities she participates in.

“Soon turning 50 years old, God willing, I will continue to lift, run, swim, play sports, surf, ski, climb and LIVE this life to the fullest and enjoy every single moment!”

A representative at Crockett’s office has not responded to inquiries from the outlet.
