Planned Parenthood of Greater New York is set to honor Grammy-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion as an “extraordinary advocate” for her unwavering commitment to women’s rights, mental health, and social justice.
The Houston native has been selected for her impactful contributions through music and performances that champion empowerment.
In a statement, Planned Parenthood highlighted Megan’s global platform, which she has utilized to raise awareness about the organization’s mission and initiatives.
Notably, Megan founded The Pete and Thomas Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting underserved communities worldwide.
The prestigious Catalyst for Change Award will be presented to Megan Thee Stallion during Planned Parenthood’s annual Spring Into Action gala in New York City in April. Actress Patricia Arquette will also be honored alongside Megan at the event.
Megan’s advocacy for women’s reproductive rights became even more prominent in 2022 following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
She responded by releasing a T-shirt bearing the message “Ladies Love Yourself” in support of Planned Parenthood.

Minaj’s fans, known as the Barbz, have raised objections, citing past statements made by Minaj about her experience with abortion at age 16.
